DROPS AS PLANT ISLANDS.
A large property with an existing pond and mature
trees was redesigned. New buildings are combined with an existing house and a
terrace with a pool. The slightly redesigned, more scenic part was intended to
merge seamlessly into the more intensively designed part of the new development
as a flowing transition with drops. These drops were designed as planted
islands and act as a bridge between the natural terrain and the landscaped terrain.
The orthogonal path system of the redesigned area is softened at this intersection
and winds organically.
